Thank you all so much for your entries. We selected #133 as it seemed to embody our vision of an innovative and memorable sports logo that had that special "pop" we were looking for. With universal appeal.

Sorry for the delay in getting this last design out; however, a lot of consideration and work went into making it stylish and unique. All the art work is 100% vector based and colors and fonts can be easily changed should you wish to make any changes before recieving the final files. Please go to http://www.groundlingdesign.com/images/tsunamilogo2.jpg to view a hi-res version of this design. Enjoy, and thank you for your consideration.

This is the last 8 hours of the competition. All are invited to submit additional entries. New artists are invited to submit initial entries. ALL WILL BE REVIEWED OVER THE COURSE OF THE WEEK AND A DECISION WILL BE MADE ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY... I will not bother commenting or "ranking" by the red stars anymore. There is ample discussion here. This will be a difficult task to narrow down just one winner as there are clearly several that we want to and could use...
Thanks

#83 Tyler we like this one alot, with the feather. We wonder if a darker shade of grey will help the lettering "pop" a little more. Finally, can there be a bit more detail in the feathers... Kinda like what84 has done in that feather... Thanks alot...

#84 and #79 Mitch these are totally solid. We like 79 because it ties the lettering in with the logo. We like 84 because it is centered, pro and by the way we love the detail in the "wet feather" - really briliant. Can the Orange be "More Orange" and less yellow? And, can the feather wrap around even more??

#19 Mitch we are revisiting and upgraded this one.. would like the circular to be a circular water wave that ends in feathers. Thank you. We like the strength of the label/brand quality this design has.

#74 CrissDesign, really cool, If you could back the wave up so it is at the left edge of the ball instead of coming up in front of the middle of the ball. Also, keep trying different lettering. We are liking the different lettering you are providing. Just make sure the lettering is READABLE from a distance. Our name is already unusual enough and do not want to make spectators have to strain to read the name. So I guess less wild - more solid lettering. I am liking the water designs in #54 wth the more legible lettering. The Top right hand corner on #50 is an interesting iconic logo design. See too if you can try anything like the basketball on www.nabihoops.com

#28 tylero88 if you could delete the white circular wave in front of the ball, change the feathers to more symmetrical feathers (Native Style) and raise the Tsunami lettering onto the ball like in #8 and delete the shadowing above the last few letters on warriors. Also please try some different wave designs, perhaps utilizing more orange/purple. Perhaps some that are more horizontal. Also we like the basketball on NABIHoops.com ball. It is like a basket weave.

TOM I like your submissions, and I like the idea of a purple wave, but I do not like the placement of the wave, which on first glance creates a clam-shell look. So please vary your wave placement/angle.... Thank you.

#45, #47-49, I like these concepts and especially of the ones with the lines of the ball. creative. Would like to see some other styles of lettering and keep massaging this idea. ALSO - Please make the orange more "orangey. We already have alot of $$ spent on the color scheme and cannot change that. check our website at www.tsunamiwarriors.com . The home page is the color of orange that we are looking for. Thank you.

#46 this is really nice, just want to see it without the circular around the top of the ball. Also, would like to see some other styles of lettering and lettering placement. Nice work.

Hello,
Yes, I understand that...but I still think that a basketball team, ...actual any team that is in any sport competition need to build a logo with some design in it, because this will be helpfully (if not now, in the future) by making a mascot costume to represent the team, the team logo...
And as a designer I suggest when u will pick a logo, pick one without gradient's, because it will be impossible to print it on some materials, as wood, steel, etc...

Indeed, this is one reason we are redesigning the logo. 100% of the players and parents involved are Native American, and most live on a Reservation. They themselves have their feelings on this issue. They are also involved in the selection process here. Water is of course of large importance. Another reason for this endeavor.

Please do not use Native American imagery when you decide on your logo. This is a very controversal issue that many people find offensive. The NCAA has banned the use of these mascots.

#33, I am having some of the kids look at these designs. I want to get their input on the various designs and, specifically with regard to Chriss' lettering in case they are totally wanting to go a different way. No need to keep climbing that tree if they are not gonna want to go there... Thanks

General question or request: We would hope to get numbering that matches the font or style of the lettering that you use if you are the selected designer...

#18, #17, and 16 - Thanks for your direction on the spot coloring which I will look into. I will try to more accurately identify which tone of purple and orange we are looking for. I do like the coloration of the ball in #19 and #8 for instance. As for your submissions, we are liking teh general direction you are going with the stylized circular wave, but want to see examples with more impact with the color... go for it. We do not know if perhaps a more horizontal wave vs circular wave will look good going across the chest... Maybe that is the way to go. If it sounds like we are not certain as to what we want, that would be accurate. We appreciate as many options as possible... Thanks. Gonna look at your color link.

#23 we do like and would like to see some different lettering. The grafiti look is popular with the kids. The colors are a bit off from what we are looking at but very close. Like the stylized wave look you have going,

#8 Additional comments are that we do like the use of the blue in the wave. We like the movement apparent in the wave and are wondering if you can make the wave less like fingers and make it more solid... We still like this one alot.
Also, if selected, are you able to provide numbers 0-9 to match the lettering you have used?

#11 Thank you for another submission. We like that you brought more wave action around the ball. We really like your color in the wave you have in #3. we love the feather you used in #11 also. Perhaps more circular wave action and more of the color you have in #3. Also, we do not like the ball in #11 and refer you to the ball that we really like in #8 as an example. Though we have not decided for sure, maybe we can see the ball both ways and decide. This is getting more and more difficult...

#19 is pretty nice, we would want the circular gray band to be a circular wave design that fades into a feather. And make the "tsunami warriors" words pop-out more instead of being set off by a banner across the front, though we like that option too. Just wanna see it in different ways. Also, our favorite basketball so far is the one in #8. So to the extent you can alternate the coloring in the ball we like that. Really nice work in looking at our website and seeing our shooting shirts and incorporating your design. Since you apparently look around on the web, check out the Dallas Mavericks logo which we think is very cool with a stylized horse inside a basketball set on a shield...Thanks I hope to see more.

#18 has a slightly different shade of purple. I feel it's very important to get your colors correct if you have specific ones in mind, so i've posted several versions.

Thank you for your feedback. One thing that i wanted to point out was in response to how you liked the multiple versions of the logo. I think the most important thing about the logo is that it is designed with PMS Spot Colors. A spot color logo is going to be very important if you a going to be getting a lot of specialized printing done, like screen printing for clothing. A Spot Color logo is very different than one designed in CMYK or RGB. I have some more information on this in the individual feedback section. Just click on one of my designs to go to it. Thanks again for your consideration.

#9 is good, just using the wrong shade of purple. I really like the colors in the ball like in #8. I do like your circular wave action, and would like to see other examples... I DO LIKE THAT YOU GAVE ME WHITE, BLACK and MONOCHROME. That is good for color/BW printing and letterhead.
That is a great idea and something that I hope the eventual winner will provide. Thank you.

#8 is way nice! Bold. Would like to see some variations on this idea. Great. I can't wait to see more. I like the dynamic feel and movement. At the same time the name is like solid aged stone.

#1 and #2 are wrong color.
#3 is looking great. Would like to see bigger, more prominent wave action that you have going there and I like the shadowing with the gray (grey?)... Nice. I kinda am not sure if the rays coming off the ball are distracting...With this size logo we could put player numbers on the ball in Purple so that is good. but I'd like to see it with larger wave action too without rays... Or something in that direction.
#4 is cool - would like to see possibly a brighter purple (if possible) and also try to make the ball "pop" with alternating orange and purple (like the old ABA balls were all Red White and Blue) ...
#5 I like that idea too...We have used Legault lettering in the past... Might make it look like something we would give strong consideration to accepting. Perhaps try a more detailed wave action... Take a look at the Dallas Mavericks logo which is really cool..
#6 is not doing it for me right now.
#7 is a good one too but again just to add more interest in perhaps making the ball alternate colors within the seems...
Thanks this is a great start. I am happy so far and its early!!!
